General Motors: CEO Eric Wagoner resigns

Sunday 29 March, Eric Wagoner announced his resignation from the position of CEO of General Motors by request of the White House.
The CEO of General Motors, aged 56, has had a previous meeting with top government officials at the end of which was taken the decision of this resignation.
Moreover, a press release from General Motors informed of the nomination of Fritz Henderson to the position of CEO. Henderson was, until now, the executive director of the group.
This change in the management of the group happens just one day before the announcement by Barack Obama of the restructuring plan for the US automotive sector, for which General Motors requested an extra help of $21.6 billions for the Government.
