Russian car market swings to growth
(28 May 2010)

After having been hardly hit by the economic crisis, the Russian automotive market is at last beginning to recover: after months of decreases in sales, the month of April was marked by a growth of 20% for car sales in comparison with April 2009.
The Russian cash-for-clunkers programme combined with a slow recovery of the Russian automotive market contributed to April results. Though it is still too early to consider that the crisis is definitely over for the sector, these figures are encouraging.
